OTHER SERVICES & QUALIFICATIONS
Whilst the vast majority of my business is centred on kitchen fitting in the Manchester area, I also hold other qualifications, and have experience in other fields.
Plumbing
My entry into the world of kitchen fitting was from a background in Plumbing. As you can imagine this is an invaluable skill that is called upon during the installation of every fitted kitchen. I trained as a City and Guilds qualified plumber, and have held Corgi registration and am currently a member of the 'Water industry Approved Plumbers Scheme' (WIAPS -For more information Click here).
At the request of a client, I will consider all plumbing jobs (with the exception of Gas appliances) either supporting or separate from the kitchen fitting.
Carpentry
In my experience it is rare that a kitchen is fitted in isolation. More often, than not, the kitchen fit is surrounded by a host of other tasks such as the installation of solid wood / laminate flooring, skirting boards, doors, door frames and architrave etc. I am happy, and have extensive experience, in all of these tasks. At the request of the client, I am happy to offer quotations for all the associated carpentry surrounding the installation of your fitted kitchen.
Granite Fitting
Typically another expensive process necessary to finish your dream kitchen. Most companies charge between £300 - £700 pounds to fit granite worktops (and upstands), and some even seal worktop joints with Silicone for that price (terrible finish which becomes highly problematic over time). I have extensive experience fitting granite worktops, upstands and Akemi jointing (a permanent, colour coded,highly durable and superior jointing method). I can also offer advice to clients with regard to the 'Templating' of their granite worktops, as it is not unusual for a granite supplier to take 2 or 3 attempts to get this process correct!
Diamond Core Drilling
The majority of plumbing and kitchen installations require accurate 'hole cutting' in solid internal and external walls. I have the equipment and experience to cut cores out of almost all construction materials. The service I provide starts with a survey (if required, for hidden services etc), and ends with the accurate cutting of the core through your walls.
